The road trip is over now and I am back home in Cologne since last tuesday. It’s been quite a ride, quite literally.
To borrow some facts from my buddy Toms travel log, I (including the Mercedes Benz F-CELL World Drive) drove over 5000 kilometers through 6 US states of which we mastered 2100 kilometers (1300 miles) though in 24 hours. The stretch between Houston and Las Vegas or actually the Grand Canyon.
It was a wild trip with a lot of new places and people, but also the well know wonderfulness of Los Angeles and Las Vegas, some friends from Europe who were in the US by chance as some who live there.
As always I had a lot of gear with me (which you can check out in my arrival post) and funny enough used everything. maybe not to the extend it would have made sense for carrying all of it with me half around the world, but hey… better than not at all right?!
I am also pretty sure I have never had so much meat in my live and especially not that much amazingly good meat. Needless to say that I was not able to keep my slow / no carb diet all the way, so I decided to take a break till I got back as it really would have been a huge hassle along the way.
Anyway… over the coming days you will get all the photos from the trip in smaller portions, as I really think over 400 in one batch might be a bit much, so here we go with the first bunch and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do.
all the best and until tomorrow,
